  11. I'm looking into 28.8K modems with voicemail support. I may want to
  12. have outgoing messages with music.

  14. I discovered the hard way with my desktop digital answering machine
  15. (an AT&T Model 1545) that the machine's digital audio compression
  16. algorithms were optimized for voice only; music sounded completely
  17. terrible when included in the outgoing message.

  19. Anyone here with a voicemail modem have music in their outgoing
  20. message and can they relay the results? I'm especially interested in
  21. the Zoom ComStar v.34 modem, but am open to others. Thanks.
